A Dog's Life
This is my now deceased dog Edward. He came from Battersea Dog's Home ('a big dog please') in November 2009. He was diagnosed with an osteo-sarcoma at Xmas 2015 which resulted in the amputation of his front leg. His spleen was diagnosed as cancerous in June 2016 when I made the decision to have him put down.
Dogs are easy to love and I loved this one. He was very gentle, a coward first and foremost unless backed into a corner, a gracious and elegant thief, a lover of people with bicycles and - as befitted his predominantly saluki nature - a graceful, sarcastic and diffident hound.
Bless him, he brought me so much joy and a hound's love.
